Amgen Operational Pricing Lead in Zug, Switzerland

We are currently seeking an Operational Pricing Lead for our regional Value, Access & Pricing (VA&P) team. The successful candidate will primarily focus on serving as single point of contact for the Sub-region/sub-set of countries in all operational pricing/pricing governance matters across the Amgen portfolio. In doing so the incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of operational pricing and pricing governance, ensure consistency, process adherence and tool usage across countries of the Sub-region.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Maintains an accurate and up to date understanding of pricing rules and expected price changes in the sub-region/a subset of countries in the sub-region

  • Supports business case development considering product strategy, specific Country/EU situation and environment

  • Executes price governance across products for the sub-region/a subset of countries, with a 'one Amgen' approach

  • Primary user of GCPS (Global Pricing & Contracting System) in the regional VA&P team: floor price setup, list price approvals, contract approvals - additionally supporting EU5 countries

  • Identifies and flags pricing trends across the portfolio, working with the Regional Access Lead on a plan of action; captures and shares price best practices with the sub-regional team

  • Leverages the tools and frameworks developed by the Payer Innovation team to execute analytics for the sub-region/a subset of countries in the sub-region (e.g., IRP assessments, price erosion, accurate pricing assumptions for LRP/budget)

  • Ensures continuity of pricing processes including country capability development and support rollout towards the Affiliates in the sub-region

  • Takes on occasional projects / primary responsibility for tools and analytics that apply across the whole VA&P team (e.g., by working closely with the tools lead in the Payer Innovation team)

Basic Qualifications/Experiences:

  • Substantial experience and understanding of pricing in the pharmaceutical industry including in depth knowledge of pricing and reimbursement systems across Europe, payers environment, contracting and tenders management within healthcare sector

  • Economics/Finance or Business degree

  • Fluency in English, both oral and written communications

Additional Qualifications/Experiences:

  • Regional experience in Central Eastern European countries

  • Experience in working in a matrix organization

  • Advanced degree(s) in business (i.e. MBA, PhD)

  • Fluency in multiple languages
