Amgen VA&P manager in Zagreb, Croatia

Purpose :

Develop and implement market access processes and provide technical expertise in Health Technology Appraisal submissions

Build and maintain relationships with health economic and other relevant opinion leaders as well as reimbursement agencies

Understand, implement and where possible influence policies to create optimal business environment for Amgen products

Maintain market access of current portfolio

Implement pricing policies and ensure proper pricing regulation implementation as per local regulatory requirements in Croatia

Responsible for adopting the European market access materials (e.g. value repositories, cost-effectiveness models, budget impact models)

Provide – in close collaboration with marketing, medical, KAM and sales colleagues – support and guidance to field based activities

Plan patient communication strategy and build and maintain relationships with PAG`s

Support and coordinate Commercial processes on Balkans distributor markets

Identify new business opportunities on Balkans distributor markets

Key Activities:

Initiate the most effective and timely strategy to obtain market access for products in Croatia by managing timely preparation, submission and follow-up of pricing and reimbursement files

Propose and implement the agreed local market access strategy until reimbursement publication and during the life cycle of the product by working closely with Medical, Marketing & Sales to secure broad product access for Amgen’s new and existing product portfolio

Coordination of Health Technology Appraisal (HTAs) in Croatia in close collaboration with Medical and Marketing colleagues

Value evidence generation in scope of dossiers and publications

Map local payers and access influencing networks

Develop & roll out an engagement strategy with key payers and other relevant opinion leaders (e.g. advisory boards, stakeholders summit meeting) to support market access activities

Responsible for pricing maintenance under the local legislation, ensuring the implementation of approved pricing policies

Provide timely maintenance of reimbursement status of current portfolio as per local requirements

Support reimbursement/ pricing negotiations with payers

Provide input for local requirements in the international value dossier & payer plan

Keep EU and global colleagues informed about and seek support on all ongoing submissions

Liaise with EU and global colleagues to create a strong relationship and defend the Croatia`s interest

Actively enforce Amgen position of a biotech leader in Croatia, through participation in strategyy for the industry events

Develop the strategy for patient communication and organize its implementation

Propose and implement the strategy for building Amgen brand/ positioning in Croatia

Colaborate with the distributers on Balkans markets with commercial guidance, access support and overal comercial coordination

Business development mindset and seeking for new business opportunities on Balkans distributer market

Requirements :

Academic education or experience from similar positions

Minimum 5 years of industry-relevant experience in Healthcare environment in Croatia

Minimum 2 years of experience as an Access Manager or similar positions in Croatia

Experience in matrix organization and collaboration cross-functionally

Fluency in English, both oral and written communications

Good knowledge on macroeconomic, political and social environment in Croatia

Strong understanding of payer and government environment including reimbursement, pricing and contracting, value drivers, HTA policy and government affairs/policy/advocacy.

Direct payer experience (HZZO & Hospitals) and experience in product commercialization

National experience and track record of achievements

Strong understanding of strategic pricing and contracting, including innovative approaches such as risk-sharing deals

Computer skills (MS Office programs)

Tenure at last two jobs for at least 2 years each

Preferred Requirements:

Documented experience in Franchise area (Oncology/Hematology/Bone)

Documented track record of product launch

Minimum 2 years in a big pharmaceutical company

Minimum 2 years of experience in a US pharmaceutical company

Commercial experience on Balkan markets (Serbia & BiH)
