Amgen Key Account Manager in Zagreb, Croatia


To the Senior Manager Sales

• Maximizes promotion of our products based on a multi stakeholder approach (KOLs, Pharmacy, lead local clinicians)

• Ensure promotion objectives in the hospital accounts in territory

• Builds and maintains high quality customer relationships as well as internal cross collaboration

• Differentiates Amgen and our products from competitors

• Ensure relevant information is shared other stakeholders at Amgen


• Map decision processes and identify key decision makers

• Implement and monitor an action plan for the accounts on territory based on deeper analysis of TA influenced by different factors, insights:

  • competitors,

  • customers,

  • reimbursement changes, situations

  • new therapies

• Effective in customer planning in line with the marketing strategy, implement C360

• Achieves/exceeds POA and tracks C360 KPIs (Tableau)

• Account level planning of interactions based on customer preferences

• Contribute to development of the marketing/commercial strategy

• Scanning business trends and business opportunities (prepare for the future)


• Build relationships with identified stakeholders

• Execution of planned activities in matrix organization

• Proactively act on the territory, raise challenges to other departments, suggest appropriate actions/solutions, involve relevant functions

• Usage of different complimentary channels to engage with customers (focused on F2F, remote and hybrid) and skilled in usage of different IT tools (Webex, Miro, MS teams)

• Operates within the agreed expense budget aligned with POA priorities


• Follow-up and update account analysis, stakeholder analysis ensuring developing understanding of customer needs


Minimum Requirements

• Life science degree

• 5-8 years of experience as Medical Rep promoting pharmaceutical products

• Demonstrated track record of introduction of new products

• Thorough knowledge of the majority of decision makers in his/her area

• Proficient in doing scientific/promotional presentations

• Demonstrated track record of working with objectives and achieving them

• History of working in innovative and/or multinational companies

• Able to read scientific articles and to do oral presentations in English

• Digital affinity, able to use different digital tools on skill level


• Experience in hospital pharmaceutical products

• History of working in complex and cross-functional teams

• Experience as Key Account Manager

• Fluency in English, both in oral and written communication


• Strong leadership skills

• Strategic thinker to manage a complex portfolio and maximize overall account return

• Able to think long-term as well as short-term

• Strong analytical skills to assess the profitability of different scenarios

• Creativity and capacity to explore and propose different alternatives

• Good medical background to be able to know thoroughly our products

• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues

• Objective/results and customer oriented

• Able to work under pressure
