In this vital role you will lead and facilitate timely and quality delivery of the end-to-end business investment analysis process functions within our Research and Development organization. Partnering with functional leadership and colleagues in R&D Finance, corporate GSS, DTI, etc., key deliverables include strategic guidance to functional teams, analysis, and prioritization recommendation of proposed investments from R&D.

With an overarching view across R&D, your will help drive analytical support on proposed large-scale initiatives, investment opportunities and help teams develop their case for additional resource requests and validate potential savings opportunities. This individual serves as a trusted expert partner for both finance and the business function in articulating the link between business priorities and what it takes to reach those goals. The R&D Business Operations team is committed to continuous improvement and serving our ever-changing, fast-paced business functions with excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on business case development, data gathering.

  • Co-responsible for implementation plan and operational investment strategy.

  • Supports during implementation and ensures function has the framework to continue autonomously during maintenance phase within the framework deployed by the Analysis Sr. Manager.

  • Lead and facilitate information collection and related analyses

  • Ongoing leadership engagement and validation of assumptions

  • Coordinate regular functional leadership updates

  • Provide analytical support of data in collaboration with the functional stakeholders, functional leadership, and cross functional representations such as DTI, RAISE, Finance, GSS, legal, as appropriate.

  • Provide expert analytics support and scope development in collaboration with the function

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree and 2 years of experience OR Master’s degree and 4 years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience Or High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

Education: MBA, Finance, Strategy

Consulting experience preferred

Engagement with organizational leadership at high levels – VP/SVP/ CFO/CEO any type of organization, preferably healthcare

  • Financial analysis experience, budget planning, cashflow modeling

  • Ability to evaluate operational processes and dissect for business case development

  • Strong Excel skills, financial modeling

  • Must have strong powerpoint presentation development for VP/SVP/EVP/CEO discussions

  • Must be able to adapt to different leadership styles quickly, read the styles and influence

  • Strong project management skills

  • Ability to lead a team, lead daily scrums (or as needed cadence), deliver incremental progress and most viable product to demonstrate progress
