Amgen Finance Manager in Warsaw, Poland

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Business Partnering:

•Serves as a main point of contact and business partner to GM and Finance / SME Head in all finance related subjects •Provides leadership, consultancy and financial support to various company functions, teams and departments •Acts as link between Finance and Business Units in order to fully utilize business opportunities •Coordinates preparation of OpEx forecasts and budgets, leads preparations of the annual Budget Presentation •Facilitates business planning and decision making; provides financial analysis, modelling of "what if" scenarios •Prepares OpEX variance analysis on the quarterly basis (Hyperion, BOBJ) and facilitates together with the Accounting Team quarterly accounting books closure

  • Provides recommendations based on analysis of deviations from budgets and coordinates affiliate P&L

  • Monitors actual and forecasted cost and revenues (on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis)

  • Manages the reporting processes (analytical management)

  • Coordinates and consolidates budget, latest estimate and variance analysis

  • Leads long-term planning support activities

  • Analyses and prepares reports to the parent company if required

  • Ensures all company data is collected, derived and consolidated data from all departments in order to produce reliable forecasting and plans

  • Monitors contracts (insurances, leasing, rents, etc.) and financial compliance across the organization

  • Leads F&A projects locally and may participate in International projects

  • Provides decision support to various stakeholders (BU’s, project teams, functions)

  • Identifies and drives initiatives to continuously improve, automate reporting tools and processes including productivity

  • Assists with ad hoc strategic and operational projects as required

  • Drives innovations and productivity initiatives throughout the organization

  • Manages team of 2 individuals responsible for another two significant business areas:

  • Sales Force Effectiveness and Veeva (CRM system) administration

  • Multichannel communication

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent diploma in Finance/Accounting

• At least five years of experience in financial department

• Demonstrated excellence of technical knowledge of accountancy (US GAAP and local country accounting principles), relevant laws, local taxes, and accounting systems/processes

• Demonstrated capability to learn quickly, being open and flexible to changes, in a multinational environment

• Demonstrates a high level of analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems

• High level in local language and in oral as well as written English communication

• Excellent computer skills in ERP and Microsoft Office environment

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in an international finance department

• Experience in Pharmaceutical Industry

• Experience with SAP or similar ERP Solution

• Experience with US GAAP
