Amgen Thailand Finance Manager in Thailand

Job Descriptions

  • Reports to the Head of Finance, Southeast Asia

  • Oversees Finance function of Amgen Thailand Affiliate, which includes but not limited to finance business support, financial planning and analysis, actual closing monitoring, local tax review and oversight, payment & collection support/advice and distributor management

  • Acts as Business Partners for the Commercial Organization of Amgen Thailand by providing insightful information, advice and positive challenges to facilitate good decision making

  • Prepares Amgen Thailand quarterly financial forecast, annual budget and 10-year long-range plan

  • Monitors actual closing progress and ensures on time and appropriate manual entries (e.g. accruals) are made every quarter-end

  • Analyses actuals and provides commentary and financial insight to SEA Finance and the local management team

  • Proactively provides strong support to respective product brands and functions, especially on revenue forecast, opex & headcount resources planning/tracking/control.

  • Communicates and provides financial insights and their business implications to the internal business counterparts

  • Conducts price analysis and scenario plans for respective product brands to explore new opportunities and increase access to patients

  • Works with SEA Financial Accounting team to prepare cash flow forecast

  • Ensures local compliance of Company financial policies and procedures, e.g. travel and expense reimbursement policy

  • Manages local distributor, ensures prompt review and settlements of distributor’s billing

  • Ensures PO compliance and continues to improve on-time vendor payment to achieve JAPAC targets

  • Oversees VAT and Withholding tax reporting and filing process. Works with external service provider to ensure accurate and timely filing

  • Supports SEA Head of Finance on process improvement and other business development projects

  • Supports SEA Tax Lead in terms of transfer pricing planning & other tax planning exercises

  • Manages Hyperion upload for forecast, budget & Long Range Plan


Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy or Business Administration

  • Professional qualification in accountancy

  • 10+ years of experience in FP&A, accounting, reporting, budgeting and planning in multinational business environment

  • Basic tax knowledge on WHT and VAT

  • Fluency in English and Thai, both in written and verbal communication

  • Excellent user of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Preferred Requirements

  • External audit experience

  • Pharmaceutical industry knowledge

  • Knowledge of US GAAP

  • Experience with SAP and Hyperion
