Amgen Sr Manager, Multi-Channel/Mobile Technology in Tokyo, Japan

Overview:

This position has total responsibility of Multi-channel/Mobile Technology related business solutions in Japan. He/she is expected to lead digital transformation by catching new technology and proposing new and innovative idea proactively towards not only Japan biz but also towards JAPAC region. This manager acts as IS (Information System) business partner for specific departments' leaders to catch their technology demands and bridges those demands to the suitable technology leads in timely manner.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Main responsibilities and duties as Multi-channel/Mobile technology domain lead are;

  • Design Multi-channel/mobile technology related business solution plan

  • Ensure that plan is along with both Japan business strategy and IS strategy and direction (ex. Technology city plan, the standard solution)

  • Be responsible to secure the budget and internal/external resources

  • Lead the multi-channel/mobile technology project

  • manage the assigned resources both internal and external and the budget

  • manage the risks including external factors with advisors supports

  • be responsible to the communications with the project sponsors

  • be responsible the deliverables qualities and timelines

  • Manage the existing multi-channel/CRM/mobile systems for ensuring daily business operations

  • Design run management body for each system with IS team members, business windows, and external 3rd parties.

  • Ensure quality and manage change requests

  • Handle incidents and recoveries within SLA

  • Manage the running cost with plan vs actual accurately

  • Manage relationship with external strategic partner companies for a middle/longer term.

  • Gather the information of Multi-channel/CRM/mobile technologies and relevant solutions in the markets and become SME in those technology domains

  • Lead the learning environment for IS team members about the responsible technology

  • Inspire business leaders/stakeholders with new technology

  • Support IS Director to develop/improve the IS strategy for a middle/long range and give the cost inputs into annual budget processes.

Sub responsibilities and duties as IS business partner for assigned to department are;

  • Gather any demand related to technology solutions to realize business plans as an IS business partner for the assigned departments' leaders to bridge them to the appropriate technology lead within the IS team timely.

  • Ensure the technology related demands/needs in the responsible departments to be absorbed into IS annual/middle/long range plan.

  • Be responsible to communicate about the IS annual/middle/long range plan with the responsible department leaders, and ensure those are align with that department's plans.

  • Be responsible to ensure that the technology solution plan is suite to the business needs and implement appropriately

Qualifications:

  • Computer Science, Management of Information System, Data Analytics, or relevant degree are required, and MBA or relevant higher degree/certificate are preferred

  • 5 years or more experience as IT project manager, IT solution design/consultation, and relevant experiences, which included the stakeholder demand, resource/budget, and risk management, are required.

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of Multi-channel customer engagement, customer relationship management, customer centric, or user experience, such types of concepts are required.

  • The real experiences of solution delivery for multi-channel strategy, CRM operation, mobile solution both for internal users and external users are huge plus, especially experiences of 'Veeva', 'Salesforce', 'iOS application development', 'Web collaboration space', and 'AWS cloud development'.

  • ITIL or PMP certificate is plus.

  • Pharmaceutical industry or life science industry experience is plus

  • English capability is strongly required in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in TOEIC 800 or upper.

  • Global project experience or international working experience are required.
