Undergrad Intern – Global Supply Chain (Fall 2022)

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. This intra-semester internship will report into the Amgen Global Supply Chain (GSC) function. Amgen GSC’s mission is to enable growth and improve profitability by partnering across the value chain, balancing agility and efficiency, while ensuring quality and service and provide Amgen with world-class planning, procurement, warehousing, and distribution services that deliver a competitive advantage.
With the support of your hiring manager, you will develop a strategic analysis and recommendation that may result in a meaningful change to the business. Using their analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills, you will work cross-functionally to clarify a problem, measure the current state, and develop recommendations through qualitative and quantitative analysis.
This internship will be approximately 9-10 weeks and approximately 10 hours per week.

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
18 years or older
Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment
Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
Must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship.
Degree concentration(s) in Supply Chain, Business, Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering, OR related field
Good business insight, high-level critical thinking, and strong analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills; standout colleague; strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to conduct research; ability to lead multiple projects consecutively
Proven ability to bring structure to sophisticated problems, pragmatic prioritizing and problem-solving approach, ability to objectively evaluate options/trade-offs, and develop executive management-level recommendations
Previous industry or project management experience
Ability to adapt and integrate into teams quickly in a remote working environment
Strong attention to detail
