What you will do

The Sr. Maintenance Technician role will be responsible for performing advanced installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, testing, and documentation/logs of a wide variety of office utility and facility equipment used in manufacturing, utility plants, analytical labs, and office areas. Available to work various work schedules: 1st or 2nd Shift through remainder of 2024 (8 or 12 Hr. Shifts) 3rd Shift by beginning of 2025 (8 or 12 Hr. Shifts)

Responsibilities:

  • Support the maintenance, operation and repair of all systems, subsystems, and equipment within the Amgen Fill / Finish facility.

  • Provide support to engineering and operations in the design, installation, testing, operation and maintenance of Fill Finish manufacturing and support equipment such as

  • Ensure all assigned equipment and associated subsystems are maintained in the following manner:

  • All Preventative maintenance is performed at the appropriate interval and is completed by the assigned due date.

  • All equipment always remains in the designed and/or validated state.

  • All equipment operation is in accordance with Federal, State, Local and Amgen regulations, procedures, and policies.

  • Ensure / maintain all assigned equipment areas in a constant state of inspection readiness; specifically, but not limited to, the following:

  • Cleanliness.

  • Personnel and Equipment Safety.

  • Compliance to cGMP requirements.

  • Identify training deficiencies, provide recommendations for training and where applicable provide training.

  • Continuously evaluate all associated Standard Operating Procedures, engineering drawings, and various other controlled documentation for accuracy and applicability. Submit appropriate change requests to supervisor to correct any deficiencies discovered.

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Change Control (CCMS), Non-Conformance (NC), Work Orders (WO), Job Plans (JP), Hazard Risk Assessments (HRA), Job Hazard Assessments (JHA), etc.

Basic Qualifications:

Associate’s degree and 4 years of maintenance experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 6 years of maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Participate in On-Call rotation for after hour’s facility and manufacturing support and may work outside of established shift hours upon short notice.

  • Experience in building maintenance, mechanical maintenance, plant engineering or related technical field.

  • Experience in an FDA regulated environment (GMP)

  • Knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic fundamentals as well as skills in the use of power and hand tools in the building trades such as carpentry, plumbing, and electrical

  • Ability to perform general labor duties as needed and may be asked to work in various physical locations.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Competence with mathematics, excellent reading skills along with intermediate to advanced computer and typing skills.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
