Amgen Specialist IS Business Analyst in Thousand Oaks, California
Amgen is seeking a Specialist IS Business Systems Analyst to join the Research and Development IS team at its main headquarters in Thousand Oaks, CA. As part of the team, you will partner with Global Clinical Program Management, Clinical Metrics & Reporting, and Clinical Study Planning teams to develop solutions to support Global Development Operations mission with the Next Generation Trial Execution Initiative (NGTE). We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst with a proven versatile skillset, including technical acumen and excellent learning agility with the ability to lead joint discussions requiring innovative technological solutions to complex scientific problems. The Analyst will bring to bear a combination of prior experience, problem solving skills and client engagement skills to drive business strategies to successful outcomes.
Drive, sustain and advance Global Development Operations Digital capabilities.
Create end to end Informatics solutions in support of Global Development Operations activities
Evaluate and utilize cutting-edge technologies in the industry to meet multifaceted business needs.
Ensure effective communication between business stakeholders, technical staff and vendors to analyze clinical needs and implement informatics solutions in data acquisition, integration and analysis.
Serves as a lead on project teams, as project manager for small initiatives and typically a workstream lead for larger projects.
Helps to track problems and issues and their resolution. Interacts and reports progress to senior business and IS leadership and escalates as appropriate.
Doctorate degree OR
Master’s degree & 2 years of Information Systems experience OR
Bachelor’s degree & 4 years of Information Systems experience
Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science or Engineering.
4+ years of Business Analysis experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
Strong data analysis and reporting experience by using analytics, visualization and database technologies
Expertise in translating business requirements to technical requirements and recommend solutions!
Demonstrated ability to coordinate/lead multiple projects/activities with competing priorities.
Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate with Business users in non-technical language
