What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will join our industry-leading Regulatory Information Management and Submission Document Management product team and play a key role on Amgen’s RIM product team as we progress through our multi-year RIM product roadmap.
The role will be responsible for providing RIM domain expertise, continued thought leadership, and technical hands-on expertise to Amgen business stakeholders. As well as technically configuring and supporting deployment of Veeva Vault RIM capabilities.
We are a team of system and domain experts and you will be an active participant in all phases of the RIM system product lifecycle including systems analysis and articulating system solutions and approaches for addressing business needs. A large focus of this role will be on technically configuring solutions in Veeva Vault RIM during steady state.
Meeting with business partners and fellow product team members to understand business requirements
Performing systems analysis to articulate system solutions and approaches for addressing business needs either in proof of concept stages or during backlog grooming and build sprints
Participating in the RIM product scrum team as a developer/configurator on our award-winning Veeva Vault RIM system (including hands-on configurations of lifecycles, workflows, security settings, reports, objects, document types/subtypes, Java SDK, etc.)
Execute system/configuration deployment, support system integrations, and provide other Vault-specific expertise as necessary
Support business and system capability planning and roadmap for RIM solutions
What we expect of you
We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The technical professional we seek is a Veeva Vault expert with these qualifications:
Master’s degree and 3 years of Information Systems and/or Computer Science experience
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Information Systems and/or Computer Science experience
Associate’s degree and 10 years of Information Systems and/or Computer Science experience
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems and/or Computer Science experience
Technical and functional expert in Veeva Vault RIM or other Veeva Vault products including hands-on configurations of lifecycles, workflows, security settings, reports, objects, document types/subtypes, authoring etc.
Extensive hands-on experience on product teams including the ability to help drive ongoing system enhancement releases and change control process.
5 or more years of experience in Information Systems/Technology or Engineering in a corporate or academic environment (pharma, biotech, tech firms, consulting, etc) as a technical business analyst, developer, DBA, etc.
Knowledge and experience with implementing and supporting Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Regulated Document Management applications in the life sciences industry
Experience driving and participating in requirements gathering efforts producing Business Process/Functional, Technical Specifications, and other SDLC artifacts
Ability to work with internal business clients to understand their business processes, manage scope of work/expectations and recommend IS solutions
Coordination of vendor partners during release planning and development and resolution of any major issues in the application
Ability to navigate, facilitate and work within a sophisticated matrix organization
Experience with Agile project methodologies and working in Product teams
Experience and/or understanding of private and multi-tenant cloud deployments and enterprise integrations
Demonstrated experience presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective
Knowledge of the biotech/pharmaceutical industry and current approaches to GxP computer related systems validation
