Amgen Senior Manager, Reimbursement Access and Value, New Products, Oncology in Thousand Oaks, California

As a key member of the US Value & Access (USVA) team the Senior Manager will report to the Director, Strategic Planning RAV (Reimbursement Access and Value) Lead. This position will support the development and advancement of strategic initiatives for USVA and the Oncology Business Unit (OBU) with a focus on new product planning.

This position will be responsible for collaborating with the global teams to represent the US point of view and will provide input and insights on the access, payer, and policy environment. The senior manager will inform product strategy and provide feedback on local requirements for successful access and reimbursement. This position will coordinate with cross functional teams to develop robust new product plans.

Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the RAV Lead, develop OBU RAV portfolio strategy and manage relevant USVA Market Shaping Initiatives

  • Collaborate with RAV leads, Global and OBU leadership to communicate strategy and to drive alignment and execution

  • Manage planning processes and support product strategies for key milestones as pipeline assets advance toward commercialization

  • Execute on US projects related to global oncology strategic initiatives (ie, Companion Diagnostics, Combination Products, Gene Therapy/CAR-Ts)

  • Collaborate on market research and conduct relevant analyses to inform access and pricing assumptions that will be inputs into L1 and L2 forecasts

  • Lead Ad Boards and Advice meetings with key US stakeholders (ie, Payers, Providers, OPMs) to refine Amgen's thinking

  • Identify areas of opportunity to develop advocacy/government affairs, and/or policy influence plans

Basic Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree and (2 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience) OR (2 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 1 year of Marketing experience)

  • Master's degree and (4 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience) OR (4 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 2 years of Marketing experience)

  • Bachelor's degree and (6 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience) OR (6 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 3 years of Marketing experience)

  • Associate's degree and (10 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience) OR (10 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 5 years of Marketing experience)

  • High school diploma / GED and (12 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience) OR (12 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 6 years of Marketing experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or other Master's degree

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Outstanding presentation skills

  • Proven project management skills

  • Proven vendor/agency management skills

  • In-depth understanding of the healthcare payer environment

  • Ability to work through others and manage in a matrix environment
