What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. Reporting to the Vice President of Biosimilars in Global Development, the Senior Executive Assistant (SEA) will be responsible for providing senior level professional administrative support. The SEA’s administrative work assignments will be complex in nature.
Proactively manage the executive’s calendar with a focus on efficient time utilization and time conflict management, ensuring that the VP is appropriately represented at all forums
Prepare the VP with pre-read and briefing documents in advance of daily meetings
Coordinate arrangements for and execute key tasks to effectively manage a variety of global business meetings utilizing Telepresence technologies
Maintain a keen awareness of and sensitivity to global time zones, as the team covers a multi-site organization and many of our staff and clients are based on the East coast and at International locations
Work closely with the HR team to manage and coordinate critical, seasonal HR initiatives including staff performance reviews and talent management
Schedule, coordinate, and track events related the HR Function as well as the client function, including site visits, all-staff meetings and special events
Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements amidst dynamic business requirements
Review, prioritize and flag high priority communications (emails and documentation) for timely and appropriate response
Answer questions/furnish information to keep the executive's time free of minor detail work, including screening and directing incoming calls and correspondence
Compose and edit correspondence on behalf of the VP
Timely preparation and processing of expense reports
Maintenance and retrieval of filed information and correspondence to ensure immediate access to information
Manage multiple priorities in a continually changing environment

Basic Qualifications:
Associate’s degree & 4 years of administrative experience
OR
High school diploma / GED & 6 years of administrative experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Absolute discretion and confidentiality, as well as considerable tact, judgment, creativity and initiative in resolving issues
Strong project management experience
Executive assistant experience
Strong technical knowledge and experience with Amgen’s internal infrastructures (MyAmgen, Sharepoint, Yellowstone File Share, SAP, IS Online Service Request, Help Desk; Concur Travel & Expense Reporting; e-Finity)
Team Player
Exceptional communication skills – oral and written
Excellent time management and project management skills
Excellent Microsoft suite ability
Ability to pay close attention to detail and manage several projects simultaneously
Outstanding interpersonal skills
Resourceful, creative, and flexible

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $83,950 - $102,860.
