Amgen Senior Associate Systems Analyst - Supply Chain in Thousand Oaks, California
We are looking for a technical business analyst to join the Operations Information Systems (OIS) team within Information Systems (IS).
You will handle and maintain the systems supporting the labeling and artwork areas of Supply Chain.
Systems Analyst role overview:
The role is dedicated to implementing a new artwork management system and integrating into the existing Amgen eco system. You will be responsible for presenting and collaborating across different IS teams to analyze business needs and develop solutions. As a successful System Analyst, you will lead the overall operation, development and maintenance of specific services within the IS team and will develop experienced domain knowledge in the assigned area. This role will include analyzing business requirements, support, release management, maintenance of documents, and tracking and managing change tasks or incidents for all the applications in the artwork management landscape.
The role requires the aptitude to learn a complex business domain quickly and the agility to respond to rapidly evolving internal and external requirements. The ability to be organized, communicate clearly, and focus on detail will be essential. This role specifically will cover:
Oversight of services supporting the Artwork team within Supply chain
Supports global, regional and local Operations IS projects, liaising with colleagues locally and globally
Partner with others and technology resources to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into functional and non-functional requirements and design
Analyzes, documents and tests program development, logic, process flows and specifications.
Understands the System Development Life Cycle, Agile development methodology and regulated system validation standards (GxP)
Executes testing including test data setup, test script authoring/review and defect analysis
Partner with business resources to conduct user acceptance testing.
Maintains knowledge repositories and other supporting documentation
Prepares for and ensures that documentation stands up to audits and inspections; provides further documentation as necessary.
Act as an IS business partner for the Artwork business functions, understanding business requirements and act as a point of critical issue for support issues.
Travel domestic and international up to 10-15%
Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of information systems experience
Associate’s degree plus 6 years of information systems experience
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of information systems experience
Demonstrable experience in Information Systems and Business Analysis
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Possesses strong learning agility and technical know-how - ability to breakdown complex topics issues and into actionable plans for team execution
Desire to work with a truly multifaceted and exciting team, with a “roll-up your sleeves” approach
Outstanding interpersonal skills, including a natural ability to convey complex technical topics to diverse audiences
Excellent critical and analytical thinking with solid attention to detail
Knowledge/experience in supply chain / packaging / labeling / artwork business functions
Proficiency in one or more of the following: Labeling and artwork management applications such as Esko Web Center, Document management applications such as Veeva Vault, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Tableau, XML, MS-Office, Agile methodologies
Ability to travel domestic and international up to 10-15%
