Responsibilities:
Responsible for annual budget development and supporting documents
Reconcile actual spending to budget and explain variances monthly
Prepare monthly financial reports, including accruals
Work closely with freight auditing/payment companies, transportation service providers, and Accounts Payable to ensure all freight bills are received, coded correctly, and paid within terms
Provide guidance and coordination to freight budget owners across the network
Interact with carriers to ensure timely payment and document new rates
Provides input for cost reduction/operational excellence opportunities
Maintain metrics dashboard as defined by the manager
Responsible for corrective action and root cause analysis within areas of responsibility
Develop and maintain effective carrier/vendor relationships

Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting OR
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting and 2 years of experience OR
Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting and 6 years of experience OR
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting
3+ years of related experience in Supply Chain Management or Accounting
Strong Financial background
Effectively interact with various internal and external clients in adherence to company policies
