Senior Associate - Cardiometabolic Disorders (In Vivo)


What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. We are seeking a highly motivated and scientifically rigorous In Vivo Senior Associate to join the Cardiometabolic Disorders Research group. In this vital role you will support pre-clinical development by evaluating therapeutic candidates in rodent models of metabolic diseases. This position is working on-site in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform animal husbandry duties

  • Perform dosing administration via IP, SC, and IV routes

  • Perform blood collection via tail venipuncture and retro-orbital routes

  • Blood sampling and analysis of plasma chemistries and circulating hormones

  • Perform necropsy, tissue collection, and processing

  • Keep meticulous records of research activities and experimental details

  • Prepare, review, and deliver scientific presentations for internal/external use

Basic Qualifications:

Master's degree


Bachelor's degree and 2 years of scientific experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Biology, Physiology or related fields

  • 5+ years of experience in executing preclinical in vivo studies using mouse models of obesity, diabetes, and metabolic disease

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and GraphPad Prism

  • Experience in preparation of dosing large and small molecule therapeutics

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Proven ability of multi-tasking to meet aggressive timelines

  • Willing to take on additional responsibilities and demonstrated experience of high performance in matrix organization

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to work independently and effectively in a dynamic environment

  • Proven ability to operate autonomously and execute on deliverables

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
