Amgen Marketing Senior Manager, Oncology, Kyprolis in Thousand Oaks, California

We have world-class cross-functional staff across the globe including sales and marketing, regional medical liaisons, oncology nurse specialists and customer account teams to ensure our discoveries go from bench to bedside.

Amgen has an opportunity for a Marketing Senior Manager in Oncology to support Kyprolis. This Senior Manager will lead the development of promotional and educational resources for print and digital assets for healthcare providers and appropriate patients. They are an integral part of the US Kyprolis marketing team and will be based at the corporate campus in Thousand Oaks, CA. They will report to the Director of Marketing for Kyprolis.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Manager include:

  • Working effectively with the sales force, sales leadership, and various cross functional partners to successfully develop and execute marketing programs to multiple myeloma health care professionals (hematologists/oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and etc.)

  • Responsibility for document control and archiving

  • Ensuring product compliance with US regulatory requirements

  • Closely managing & tracking budget & adhering to budgets

  • Develop and maintain project status reports for the department

  • Monitor competitive activity and integrate competitive intelligence into brand strategy

  • Tenaciously drive business and effectively delivers against performance metrics

Basic Qualifications:

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

• Master’s degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

• Associate’s Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

• High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oncology and/or hematology experience

  • Prior experience working with ad agencies

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with legal, medical and regulatory review teams, sales and/or sales management experience

  • Demonstrated success in project management in a matrix environment

  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross functional teams with diverse backgrounds

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively produce business results in a dynamic environment

  • Excellent written, analytical and oral communication skills

  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Documented track record of success

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze a business problem and develop appropriate strategy

  • Previous supervisory management experience
