Amgen Marketing Senior Manager, Inflammation in Thousand Oaks, California

As a member of the Enbrel Marketing team, the Marketing Senior Manager reports to the Marketing Director and is responsible for developing both branded and unbranded resources that support the Inflammation Business Unit (INBU) in the areas of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Dermatology. This role will specifically focus on developing promotional tools for use by the field sales force and partner with the field training team to ensure ideal tactical implementation. Additionally, the Marketing Senior Manager will partner with the access reimbursement operations team to ensure the Enbrel reimbursement and patient support service messages are appropriately incorporated into promotional materials

The successful candidate will partner cross-functionally, and with vendors, to develop deep customer insights and then produce healthcare professional (HCP) materials that address identified gaps while ensuring the overall Enbrel plan is amended to optimize impact and brand priorities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Determining the appropriate allocation of HCP Promotion resources across both the Rheumatology and Dermatology specialties

  • Leading content development and implement tactics that support brand priorities for HCP audiences

  • Creating the messaging, promotional tools and uses data analytics for sales promotional materials

  • Working to ensure HCP Promotion programs meet Amgen legal, regulatory, and compliance standards

  • Partnering with HCP Digital Marketing to develop non-personal promotions

  • Partnering with Access Reimbursement Operations partners to develop reimbursement messages that will be incorporated into promotional mix

  • Working cross functionally with multiple groups including market research, medical affairs, medical communications, and sales operations

  • Managing program budgets and reviews metrics for success of the brand

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree and (2 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience) OR (2 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 1 year of Marketing experience)

OR

  • Master's degree and (4 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience) OR (4 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 2 years of Marketing experience)

OR

  • Bachelor's degree and (6 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience) OR (6 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 3 years of Marketing experience)

OR

  • Associate's degree and (10 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience) OR (10 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 5 years of Marketing experience)

OR

  • High school diploma / GED and (12 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience) OR (12 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 6 years of Marketing experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of biotech/biopharma experience including some combination of customer experience, commercial, product management and/or customer support and solutions

  • Confidence in working with staff at all levels

  • Demonstrated self-starter, ability to work under limited supervision and coordinate multiple projects in a detail-oriented environment

  • Experience leading or being a member of a cross-functional project team

  • Experience working with key internal or external partners, establishing, communicating and managing teams to timelines and project targets

  • Experience critically evaluating process and establishing creative solutions

  • Advanced skills and familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly and effectively present information
