Amgen Executive Director Patient Engagement, Enbrel in Thousand Oaks, California
This position will serve as the single point of accountability for developing and executing the strategy and tactical plan for all patient-facing elements of the promotional plan for Enbrel from awareness to supporting fulfillment and adherence. More specifically this position will work cross-functionally with all groups who are involved in Enbrel patient promotional activity to ensure an optimized patient experience across all channels-including TV, digital, and call center. To ensure the team can capitalize on current and future opportunities that emerge, this position will also be responsible for ensuring the appropriate infrastructure investments (ex: IS/IT related elements) are made and appropriate policies are in place (ex: use of data received from connected devices).
Lead development of and oversee execution for the Enbrel patient/consumer promotional strategy
Oversee integration of all Enbrel patient-facing initiatives to optimize the patient experience
Determine optimal marketing mix for spend related to the patient experience
Work cross-functionally to ensure investments are made in appropriate internal systems and appropriate processes are developed to enable the team to capitalize on current and future opportunities
Determine appropriate KPIs for key elements of the patient experience and regularly track to support timely adjustments to tactics and mix
Maintain an updated patient journey and oversee the market research plan to develop new insights and ensure a fulsome understanding of the patient ecosystem
Lead team of experienced marketers
- Doctorate degree and 6 years of marketing experience
- Master's degree and 10 years of marketing experience
- Bachelor's degree and 12 years of marketing experience
- 6 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
A track record of success in a series of commercial roles of increasing scope, scale and complexity, with leading companies in the biopharmaceutical or health and wellness industry.
A best-in-class marketer with experience developing and implementing innovative commercial strategies within highly competitive markets where innovation and marketing prowess are a key factor of success.
Experience marketing to consumers across all channels
Experience managing call centers and consumer support programs
Successful track record of working cross-functionally and leading teams
Thorough understanding of the US healthcare system from a patient perspective
Prior experience with implementation of IS/IT systems
Ability to make decisions using data from multiple sources
Successful track record of managing >$50M annual budget and delivering significant returns
Solid understanding of US market access, pricing and reimbursement environment.
