Amgen Director, Access Operations in Thousand Oaks, California

As a member of the US Value & Access team, the Director, Access Operations reports in to the Executive Director Access, Reimbursement and Operations team. This position will lead and provide oversight for all Bone, Cardio Business Unit Access, and Reimbursement Operations initiatives, including Amgen's reimbursement, access, and co-pay assistance programs, in partnership with the Access Marketing team, to achieve the brand teams' objectives and maximize patient access to Amgen medications.

Responsibilities:

  • Single point of accountability for operations of Call Center/Reimbursement Hub, Co-Pay program administration, Field reimbursement, Nurses programs and KPI tracking and reporting

  • Partner with cross functional leaders and advise and execute access service strategy. Incorporate, new service campaigns within SalesForces CRM platflorm.

  • Responsible for ongoing service evaluation and optimization using customer feedback tools and trending data

  • Responsible to ensure compliance reporting, training and tracking.

  • Evaluate and partner on emerging technologies, identify efficiencies and lead the charge on change transformation.

  • Lead contract negotiations with Amgen business partners to ensure brand service requirements are exceeded

  • Responsible for the Commercial Access and Reimbursement Operations platform and outsourced supplier management.

  • Development of critical success factors, supplier metrics and continuous improvement efforts across all brands.

  • Facilitate routine business reviews with all critical suppliers.

  • Partner with Access Marketing and Brand teams to develop long term program budget and responsible for executing within targets.

  • Coordinate and facilitate operational performance reports to key business partners.

  • Provide visibility to cross-functional planning of important initiatives, including executive status updates.

  • Anticipate resource needs and communicate to respective business partners.

  • Continuously evaluates and improves our current processes and operations to ensure they are always accurate, efficient and operationally sound.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree and 4 years of marketing, commercial operations, access, and/or payer experience

OR

  • Master's degree and 7 years of marketing, commercial operations, access, and/or payer experience

OR

  • Bachelor's degree and 9 years of marketing, commercial operations, access, and/or payer experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years working closely with marketing, and/or compliance within healthcare industry

  • Experience in designing services campaign within SalesForce Marketing Cloud, Health Cloud, or Service Cloud

  • Experience leading or being a member of a cross-functional project team

  • Experience critically evaluating process and establishing creative solutions

  • Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and success in a highly matrixed environment; strong oral/written presentation skills

  • Demonstrated success as a team leader with strong team management skills

  • Strong project management skills, lead and manage projects from concept to completion in a matrix and, at times, ambiguous environment

  • Demonstrated self-starter, ability to work under limited supervision and coordinate multiple projects in a detail-oriented environment

  • Experience working with key internal or external partners, establishing, communicating and managing teams to timelines and project targets

  • Advanced skills and familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote

  • Utilization of project management tools, methodologies, and practices

  • Quick learner, proactive, takes initiative, goal oriented and results driven

  • Strong negotiation skills, active listening, and relationship management skills

  • Ability to influence others while fostering a value-based environment of high performance and fairness
