Corporate Strategy Senior Manager
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role Amgen is seeking a Corporate Strategy Senior Manager. The Senior Manager will report to our Director of Corporate Strategy.
The Senior Manager’s primary role will be to contribute to strategic initiatives that shape Amgen’s future – examples of which include: developing content for the annual strategy update to the Board of Directors; leading projects that address targeted strategic questions from senior leadership; and, analyzing recent external activities and their potential implications for our business.
Secondary responsibilities of the Senior Manager include maintaining peer benchmarks and tracking industry news events that shape the competitive landscape.
While the Corporate Strategy Senior Manager role can be located remotely there is an expectation that availability at times of high activity may need to accommodate some Pacific Time Zone working hours.
What we expect of you

Doctorate degree and 2 years of healthcare business experience
Master’s degree and 4 years of healthcare business experience
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of healthcare business experience
Associate’s degree and 10 years of healthcare business experience
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of healthcare business experience
Bachelor’s degree (or greater) in life sciences
Meaningful experience in corporate strategy and/or management consulting
Strong business knowledge of the healthcare landscape and biopharma industry
Strong presence with Senior Executives including ability to communicate effectively on a prepared and ad-hoc basis
Exceptional written and oral communications skills with an emphasis on communications to senior executives
Demonstrated ability to evaluate and interpret complex problems
In-depth understanding of strategic frameworks and portfolio-level analysis
Financial acumen and strong analytical skills
Experience with key databases, EvaluatePharma and/or FactSet
Team oriented player with a strong work ethic
