Amgen Contracts & Pricing Manager, 340B/Government Contract Operations in Thousand Oaks, California
The Contracts & Pricing Manager, 340B/Government Contract Operations is a key member of US Value and Access (US V&A) specifically within the Membership team. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring complete and accurate government customer master records along with confirming and reconciling government program eligibility by determining appropriate Class of Trade (COT) assignments. This role is responsible for verifying eligibility for government mandated price discounts under the Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) and Health Resource and Services Administration (HRSA) PHS/340B program. This position operates within a fast-paced environment and closely collaborates with several cross-functional groups including IS, Coverage and Pricing, Government Pricing, Chargeback Operations, Finance and Legal to ensure clear communication and mutual understanding of processes. This position is also responsible for ensuring accurate classification of transactions for government pricing calculations are performed in accordance with US Contracts Operation and Government Pricing SOPs, Sarbanes Oxley, and other policy and procedures that impact the Contract Operations area. Additional responsibilities include, research HRSA Office of Pharmacy Affairs 340B database and other data sources as well as creating and administering government contracts and pricing in the contracts and pricing system. This position will also participate cross functionally to analyze current operating practices and procedures with an emphasis on identifying process improvements and lead implementation efforts. This position will also participate in system implementation efforts currently ongoing with a new contracts and pricing system, which includes but not limited to, working with 3rd party vendor in business operations testing of functional requirements, documentation of formal testing, communicating issues and/or defects, and supplying insights in ongoing project meetings.
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of sales, marketing, finance, contracts and/or transaction processing operations experience
Associates degree and 6 years of sales, marketing, finance, contracts and/or transaction processing operations experience
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales, marketing, finance, contracts and/or transaction processing operations experience
o Bachelor’s degree
o 4+ years of experience in sales & marketing, finance/accounting, contracts or transactions operations experience
o Experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech environment
o Proven track record of growing responsibility
o Very strong computer & M/S Office skills
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Communicates effectively within department.
o High attention to detail/reporting accuracy, while also able to focus on the overall problem/solution
o Translates high volumes of data into substantial information to support key business decisions
