Amgen Consumer Digital Marketing Senior Manager, Repatha® in Thousand Oaks, California

This critical position is responsible for working as part of a team to develop and execute the U.S. direct-to-consumer (DTC) digital marketing plans and programs for Repatha® - a high priority brand for Amgen. This position will have the responsibility of managing multiple initiatives from concept through execution to help drive new capabilities for brand success today and into the future. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, management and analysis (including measurement and reporting) of a variety of online consumer advertising, promotional and educational programs including; Brand.com ownership and optimization, video strategy and production, search (paid and organic), online display advertising, social media channels and CRM programs.
This position will not be responsible for management of direct reports. However, it will require significant agency management, and cross-functional team leadership.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Be a key member of the Repatha® brand team; partner with team members and lead cross-functional project teams
Establish DTC digital programs to meet Brand objectives and stimulate appropriate consumer loyalty
Oversee and manage content development and analytics for brand digital properties such as websites, and social channels
Lead brand digital strategy that includes aggressive expansion of pilot-to-launch efforts
Lead CRM strategy and content development
Manage outside vendors and agencies to develop and execute DTC projects
Champion continuous improvement with our patient activities and share best practices across the organization
Collaborate with key partners including physician marketing, Sales, Access, Corporate Communications, Operational teams, and market research (CS&A) to ensure synergy with programming across all customers
Manage the internal legal, regulatory, and medical review and approval of new materials to enable responsible and compliant consumer communications
Manage budgets and closely monitor performance, ensuring cost-effective delivery of all programs
Domestic travel up to 15%.
Doctorate degree and (2 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience) OR (2 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 1 year of Marketing experience)
Master's degree and (4 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience) OR (4 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 2 years of Marketing experience)
Bachelor's degree and (6 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience) OR (6 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 3 years of Marketing experience)
Associate's degree and (10 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience) OR (10 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 5 years of Marketing experience)
High school diploma / GED and (12 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience) OR (12 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 6 years of Marketing experience)
Strategic thinking, leadership, collaboration, and the ability to serve as a true champion for the consumer
Strong marketing acumen with a solid grasp of marketing strategy, market research, segmentation, brand positioning, and tactical plan development
Experience developing and executing a wide range of successful digital initiatives across multiple channels such as website, display, video, mobile, CRM, and social
Demonstrated strength in analytics to translate data into insights and indicated actions
Creative and innovative, while also possessing analytical problem-solving skills
Experience working with agencies and publishers to develop and produce engaging creative and media plans
Exhibiting passion and empathy to build meaningful experiences with consumers by understanding their needs and desires
Strong bias for action and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to exercise strong judgment and live up to the highest ethical standards

Experience marketing directly to consumers, with a preference for regulated products and/or services
