Combination Product Safety is an integral part of that mission and is actively evolving driving innovation for an integrated patient safety and processes across Amgen. The team provides Combination Product knowledge and expertise for the creation and execution of clinical trials, human factors and customer experience research. We are key partners in the creation of combination product safety content for risk management, risk assessments, safety deliverables and regulatory reporting.
This internship will be approximately 10-13 weeks and will include both project- based and experiential learning. The Combination Product Safety Intern will work with department senior leadership to implement key strategic initiatives transforming how safety data is analyzed and investigated leading to a new level of excellence in safety reporting and oversight. The intern will also assist in the identification of metrics, design of reporting tools and fundamental project management. In conjunction with the project work, interns will have the opportunity for professional development through training sessions, an Executive Speaker Series, one-on-one mentoring, and various networking events. Interns will also be able to interact with peers at Amgen-sponsored social events.
For the internship program, we are seeking college students who are ready to make a positive impact and use their talents to accomplish more than they thought possible.
Limited relocation housing and/or miscellaneous allowance may be available for eligible candidates.
Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergraduate internship or an undergraduate co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
18 years or older
Currently enrolled in a full time Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
Enrolled in a full time Bachelor’s degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
Possess U.S. citizenship, permanent legal residence, or unrestricted work authorization in the U.S.
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Industrial engineering, medical device engineering, pharmaceutical / pharmacy technology, project management
Junior standing with graduation in Summer 2022
