Amgen Business Analysis & Info Mgr, Global Forecasting in Thousand Oaks, California

We have world-class cross-functional staff across the globe including sales and marketing, regional medical liaisons, oncology nurse specialists and customer account teams to ensure our discoveries go from bench to bedside.

This Business Analysis & Information (BAI) Mgr is assigned to provide forecasting support to a key Amgen product or products. This person will:

  • Prepare and present forecasts for pipeline products and potential in-licensing products.

  • Perform analyses and assessments that include market size, penetration, market dynamics and potential revenue.

  • Coordinate with Global Marketing and cross-functional teams to develop forecasting inputs and assumptions.

  • Work with clients in the assigned team(s) to develop service level agreements outlining forecasting requirements and deliverables.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree


Master’s degree and 2 years of analytics experience


Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of analytics experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MS/MBA)

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, economics, finance, mathematics, or statistics

  • Experience in forecasting, market research, or business analytics in healthcare

  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills; able to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences

  • Strong project management skills—able to organize and complete multiple projects efficiently and on time

  • Demonstrated analytical skills combined with a client service orientation

  • Ability to work collaboratively in team-based environment

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically to support key business decisions

  • Good understanding of the latest developments in the bio-pharmaceutical industry, and unmet medical needs and opportunities in the assigned therapeutic area

  • Strong modeling skills, experience with advanced spreadsheets
