Amgen Audio Visual Events Analyst in Thousand Oaks, California

The DWX (Digital Workplace Experience) team is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and life cycle of Amgen’s End User Technology services which include user PCs, mobile devices; printers, communication tools including Audio/Video teleconference/meeting support, Webex Teams, Email Messaging; and teamwork tools including Office 365, SharePoint Online, Box, and Yammer. The team consists of cross-disciplinary IS professionals who understand how to deliver services that span infrastructure, applications and customer experiences.

Amgen is seeking a hardworking, self-directed Audio Video Events Business Analyst with experience working in a dynamic environment that demands high-quality and efficient results. This position will be responsible for providing technical direction to Amgen’s managed service provider. They will act as the liaison between the technicians and the client, and they will lead all aspects of the audio and visual production process.

The candidate should be very detail-oriented and have hands-on experience in planning, producing, and advising virtual and in person events. The candidate should have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with ambitious demands. What you’ll do:

  • Review client requests and provide technical direction for the planning, scheduling, and delivery of services

  • Direct and lead all aspects of work of audio-visual vendors

  • Keep management well informed of status of event support efforts and serves as liaison between vendors and clients

  • Communicate and implement. standards, best practice, crafting and defining new standards as technology and scope evolve

  • Escalate issues encountered during events in a timely manner to appropriate service owner for short and long term resolution

  • Create and contribute to SOPs and documentation

  • Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships

Operation of all audio-visual equipment during events with the aim to provide high quality technical standards

  • Hands on switching, recording and editing of high production value content

  • Work closely with Event Organizers and our internal and external clients to produce consistent and quality productions

  • Operate physical production equipment such as Analog Way, Ross and Black

Magic switchers along with, computer based switching, recording and streaming systems, character generators, cameras, audio mixers, Graphics, Recorder/Players, Editing and color correcting

Minimum qualifications:

  • 3+ years of technical event production experience in a corporate or entertainment field

  • 2+ years of equipment operation experience in live event environment

  • 5+ year’s experience operating Video Conferencing, Audio Conferencing, Local Audio Reinforcement, Video and Graphics Technologies (including projection, switching, and formatting)

  • Video Recording and Camera Operation, Internet Broadcast Video Streaming, Network Infrastructure Assessment, Set design, and IT operations and Support Strong interest in technology and agility at learning new products and features

  • Good interpersonal skills, including relationship building and teamwork within adverse, multi-functional team

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understands the benefits of the various event formats (i.e. Q&A, Training, Town Hall, Broadcast, etc.) as well as how to execute these formats detailed

  • Familiar with equipment such as: Yamaha audio consoles, Shure ULXD Microphone Systems, Analog Way Switchers, Ross Switchers, Black Magic Swithers, Lighting Consoles, Record Decks, Streaming platforms, Office 365, PPT, WebEx, Zoom, MS Teams, Miro.

  • Ability to motivate and focus cross functional teams to reach challenging goals

  • The ability to communicate efficiently in both written and verbal formats

  • Apply significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our internal partners

  • Connect with customers and partners regarding new materials and systems to ensure that they are prioritized and launched in an appropriate manner

  • Easily step into the role of Executive Producer, Technical Director, and/or Project

Manager from planning to execution for all assigned events and video productions globally
