Amgen Associate Quality Control in Thousand Oaks, California

The Associate Quality Control will support the QC Microbiology Lab by performing analytical testing on in-process, final drug product and utility samples.

Responsibilities include:

Perform Microbiology Lab test methods which may include Bioburden, Sterility, PCR, Total Aerobic Count, Biological Indicator and Growth Promotion testing

Perform result entry and data review using Laboratory Information Management Systems

Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation

Initiate controlled document revisions using the site Enterprise Document Management system

Perform general laboratory housekeeping activities

Order laboratory supplies and maintain lab inventory

Maintain training compliance and proficiency

Comply with safety guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and other applicable regulatory requirements

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree


Associate's degree and 4 years of Quality experience


High school diploma / GED and 6 years of Quality experience

Preferred Qualifications

Professional work experience in either a GMP Quality Control Lab or Manufacturing environment

Experience with analytical Microbiology Lab testing

Experience using aseptic technique

Operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience with laboratory equipment

Demonstrated proficiency with electronic systems (LIMS, LMES, TrackWise, etc.)

Demonstrated written and oral communication skills and proven ability to manage priorities effectively

Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable to support business needs
