We are seeking early career, entry-level talent to play a major role in how we architect, visualize, and interpret critical data that is at the very core of our business. As a Business Analytics Associate in our Data Excellence Development Program, you will be challenged with uncovering analytical insights through data mining and statistics. And you will have the opportunity to translate those insights into actionable decisions for the business.
As a rotational program member, you will gain first-hand experience solving some of those most challenging problems facing the biotech industry today within a variety of functions. This three year development program will expose you to three different business analytics roles by spending one year in three different departments, with opportunities in Research & Development, Operations, Global Commercial Operations, and Corporate. Starting from Day One, you will be introduced to the many nuances and complexities of our organization and asked to think creatively and independently to influence and drive decision-making.
Responsibilities will include:
Applying business knowledge in the analysis of big data
Producing project documentation including formal proposals and schedules, business requirements, functional specifications, project plans, test plans and test cases
Working closely with technical team members to translate business requirements into systems requirements
Coordinate development teams on large and/or complex projects; translate end user requirements for use by development teams
Assist on various ad-hoc research projects including experimentation with cutting-edge big data technologies
Currently enrolled in final year of a Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas:
Business Administration; Business Analytics; Data Science; Computer Science; Biomedical, Computer, or Software Engineering; Mathematics; Computational Chemistry or Biology; Statistics; Information Systems; Relevant Programs
Minimum GPA of 3.0 in current program
Demonstrated aptitude and exposure with industry standard tools to execute and automate the more technical aspects of statistical data analysis, including SQL, R, SAS, Python (or equivalent)
Proficient in math, stats, programming
Experience with SQL and / or other BI tools
Prior internship in similar discipline
Highly motivated, self-starting nature; capable of and comfortable with independent critical thinking and problem solving; energized by change and challenge
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a particularly well-developed ability to display data and lead audiences to logical conclusions
Strong team player who is able to collaborate with colleagues on complex tasks
Track record of successfully owning, planning, and implementing multi-faceted projects
Experience with formal project methodologies
Data and information modeling and design
Test development and execution
Basic understanding of application development methodologies and techniques, as well as the knowledge and skills to advise users of a proposed software's functionality
