Job Description
The IS Source to Pay(S2P) Solution Architect will be responsible for the overall end to end global template for the Source to Pay process area. This role will proactively lead the collaboration and engagement with Digital, Technology, & Innovation (DTI) and Business partners in architecting, configuring and delivering best practice solutions based on business & industry standards and drive the S2P solution roadmap within Amgen.
The S2P Solution Architect will report to Senior Manager, Global Source to Pay (S2P) systems. This role will own and support global template responsibilities across complete end to end S2P landscape and provide SME expertise to strategic initiatives. The role will be responsible in defining, developing & expanding the Source to Pay business systems capabilities. The individual will work closely with their peers within DTI and Business partners in system design, development & testing in all aspects of the S2P solutions.

Key Job Responsibilities
Maintain and support the Global Source to Pay (S2P) template and ensures its continued governance and evolution
Be the guardian of the global S2P technologies solution architecture ecosystem including SAP solution such as SAP Ariba, SAP ERP and/or S/4HANA, Concur, and other satellite solutions such as CRIS, Maximo, etc.
Provide Solution Governance oversight for Build teams during Assessment, Design and Delivery of enhancements, projects and data as well as process changes
Interact with Business partners to understand & document business requirements, architects solution/data integration flows, security or compliance requirements
Lead system build according to approved solution architecture; provide oversight for external business partners
Ensures solutions developed are aligned to enterprise architecture standards, guidelines and principles by leverage common technology platforms and services
Collaborate with business partners to co-create business value through identification of transformational opportunities such as Continuous Close
Work independently, function as a knowledge resource for less experienced team members
Provides consultation to application owners and business partners regarding short and long-term architecture solutions, considering Amgen city planning strategy in meeting business requirements
Proactively facilitates complex design and technical discussions, reconciling differing opinions and drives decision making process
Provide Solution Governance oversight for Build teams during Assessment, Design and Delivery of enhancements, projects and data as well as process changes
Leads the improvements and innovation in the S2P space
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree
OR
Master’s degree and 3 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Information Systems experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Must have 5+ years of techno-functional experience with Source to Pay technologies
Must have hands-on experience in configuration, architecting, and integrating all aspects of Source to Pay (STP) solutions for global deployments
Good understanding of business solution capabilities with focus on S2P processes in the areas of Source to Contract, Supplier Management, Requisition to Pay, Spend Analytics, Meetings Management, Cards, and Travel & Expense
Strong Knowledge on solutions and hands-on experience in configuring the following areas but not limited to SAP solutions:
SAP Ariba Requisition to Order
SAP ERP and/or S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement
SAP Business Network
Experience in business process re-engineering, Tax Integration Tools (i.e. Thomson Reuters OneSource)
Experience SAP Concur, Sirion, Cvent and/or SAP Field Glass would be a plus
Working knowledge of reporting solutions such as Enterprise Data Fabric (EDF), and frontend tools (i.e. BOBJ, Cognos, Tableau) is preferred
Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies
Ability to work in fast paced global environment with matrixed IS and business teams serving North America, Europe, JAPAC and Intercontinental regions
Strong organizational skills and understanding of the project management lifecycle, information risk and security guidelines and architecture standards
Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to take principled bets on new technology, ability to establish, implement, and enforce appropriate IS standards to meet business requirements
Ability to translate business requirements into design options that are cost effective, efficient, re-usable that comply with defined architectural principles and standards
Experience working with software systems validation, SOX, Information Privacy, FDA cGxP controlled environment and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations
Possesses strong learning agility and technical leadership - ability to breakdown complex topics issues and into actionable plans for team execution
Desire to work with a truly dynamic and exciting team, with a “roll-up your sleeves” approach
Foster a culture of innovation to encourage resources to evaluate and introduce new technologies that will allow business partners to meet their objectives
