Amgen Specialist Information System (IS) Architect - Vistex in Tampa, Florida
The Enterprise SAP Solution Architect for Vistex will be responsible for overall solution design for Amgen.
You will actively lead the teamwork and engagement with the Information System (IS) and business process teams in delivering solutions based on business and industry standard methodologies. You will drive the Vistex Contract and Pricing roadmap within Amgen.
This role will work in a Product Team that is passionate about Contracts and Pricing solutions and will provide technical leadership to help the product team design solutions that best fit business needs.
Defines and leads the Vistex global template and ensures its continued governance and evolution
Establishes and runs the maintenance of the Global Vistex solution documentation
Provides consultation to application owners and business partners regarding short and long-range architecture solutions to meet business imperatives
Recommends solutions and develops business case alternatives which anticipate the future direction of the business, its drivers and technology strategy. Aggressively facilitates complex design and technical discussions, balancing differing opinions and drives way you make decisions
You will lead and support the translation of business process, master data and standard methodology requirements into executable design and work
Drive design, analysis and estimation of business driven projects
Leads project and improvement assessments of feasibility, impact and effort required to implement changes to or extensions of the Global SAP template in response to business requirements
Ensures solutions developed across functions are aligned to enterprise architecture standards and principles
Bring to bear common technology platforms and services
Supports creation of business architecture models demonstrating how products, operations and systems interoperate within the organization
Travel up to 20-25% both domestic and international
Master’s degree and 3 years of Information Systems experience
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Information Systems experience
Associate degree and 10 years of Information Systems
High school diploma/GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience
Demonstrable experience in the following Vistex topics: Price proposal, Contract Management, Approval Status Flow, Pricing - Price Simulation & Order execution, Deals, Composite Rebates, Claims, Claw back, Health Insurance, Settlements
Strong knowledge in the following areas: SAP Pricing, SAP Sales Order Entry, Billing, SD Pricing, Vistex Contract Management solution, Master Data Concepts
Be able to multi task, balance improvements, help with issue resolutions, be the technical lead on designs for larger projects and lead pilots for new tools
Experience with Sales Order processing, pricing, billing, Customer Master, Returns, Rebate processing
Strong Service Delivery attitude with Order to Cash functional domain experience
Excellent analytical and problem solving, communication and presentation skills
Good understanding of business complexity and project inter-dependencies
Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across disciplines
Outstanding communication and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations
Good understanding of basic system engineering, information risk and security guidelines and architecture standards
Be a great teammate able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
