In this vital role you will be part of an ambitious supply chain transformation program to transform and automate how Amgen conducts end to end supply chain with our suppliers. This role will be part of a new Agile Product Team being formed to deploy groundbreaking solutions across Amgen globally.
As a Principal SAP Architect you will :
Provide vision and be strategic in architecting and designing Supply Chain Collaboration (SCC) solution capabilities
Work directly with various multi-functional business partners such as the Global Supply chain and Finance SMEs to understand, prioritize, and guide on groundbreaking solutions
Own SAP Ariba SCC solution architecture, design, development, integration, and support the SCC capability roadmap for Amgen's global ERP and non-ERP landscape
Handle combined product backlog and maintain roadmap for SCC capabilities (in partnership w/respective business SMEs) and lead Ariba solution delivery
Strategically plan, develop, and implement solution roadmap that aligns to business strategy and drive measurable business critical metrics
Co-innovate with ERP and non-ERP platform teams to advance core capabilities as part of S/4 Intelligent Enterprise implementation and ability to identify multi-functional impacts
Drives continuous improvement in solution governance, performance, reliability, compliance, and efficiency
Ability to set context and present on sophisticated subjects to senior management in clear and concise manner and provide budget proposals
Mentor, establish and influence the usage of standard methodologies of SCC & SAP or S/4 HANA across the Global Supply Chain and Finance organization

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience
Or
Master’s degree and 6 years of Information Systems experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Information Systems experience
Or
Associate degree and 10 years of Information Systems
Or
High school diploma/GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Must have experience in leading, implementing, and managing large scale supply chain transformation initiatives at a global scale
Hands-on experience in Architecting and developing SCC/P2P solution capabilities but not limited to SAP Ariba Buying and invoicing, Cloud Integration gateway (CIG), SAP Business Network, OneSource, rapid response, connected to SAP Enterprise Central Component (ECC) and/or S/4HANA
Deep business process understanding in Supply Chain and Source-to-Pay processes
Lead and drive city planning enterprise solution architecture for SCC program
Be part of SCC product team, lead user story development, system build, testing, and deployment of Ariba SCC capabilities in agile manner
Lead design and co-innovate with peer architects and Business SME’s from other workstreams to advance SCC capabilities and pro-actively identifies interdependencies
Experience managing Contract Manufacturing Suppliers and Sub-contract model
Lead and accountable for all technical artifacts (i.e. Architecture, Design Specs, Rules workbook, etc.)
Ability to partner with peer architects, business leads from multiple functional areas to develop capability roadmaps
Identify continuous improvement through enhancements and operational support for SCC program, as part of ongoing DevOps team
Outstanding communication and experience partnering with multi-functional business leaders to drive strategic decisions
Experience working in an agile operating model
SAP Ariba SCC certification is a plus

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $159,590 - 188,924.
