Amgen Global Workspace Solutions Manager in Tampa, Florida

Amgen is in search of a Manager, to be part of our Global Workplace Solutions team. The Manager will report directly to the Engineering Projects Director. The Manager will work from Amgen's Capability Center in Tampa, Florida.

Global Workspace Solutions (formerly Global Asset Planning) delivers innovative and effective space solutions that enable energized and engaging workplaces in support of Amgen's strategy. The Manager is responsible for planning, design and utilization of office and laboratory spaces globally in support of strategic master plans and real estate strategies. They will partner with GWS Master Planning and Real Estate Strategy to ensure design and scope is in alignment with strategic master plans. In addition, the Manager will collaborate closely with site management, clients and facilities & engineering teams to ensure the successful construction and implementation of new office and laboratory spaces.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Broad and expanding knowledge of laboratory and office space planning including design, construction, renovation and operations

  • Current and relevant knowledge of technology / collaboration integration into holistic workspace environment

  • Anticipates / prevents potential problems

  • Creates new procedures / processes to drive desired results

  • Works under minimal direction, guided by operational and project objectives

  • Manages key projects or business processes

  • Identifies potential opportunities and extends capabilities by working closely with senior staff/experts within and outside internal organization

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR

Master's degree and 3 years of Project Management experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of Project Management experience

OR

Associate's degree and 10 years of Project Management experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Project Management experience

AND

Previous managerial experience directly managing people and/or experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
