What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will play a key role in the administration of execution of internal controls covering financial reporting. This position will work closely with both internal (Corp Audit) and external (Ernst & Young) auditors, and owners of SOX processes, to drive execution and compliance with SOX requirements.

Primary responsibilities will include the following:

Support various Finance teams (Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury, Corporate Audit, Source to Pay and Tax) in their SOX compliance efforts - including

  • Education and building of awareness on SOX requirements both Financial and IT Applications-related,

  • Helping with risk and control assessments considering both Financial and Technology-related risks and

  • Monitoring remediation of reported deficiencies.

  • Liaison with both external and internal auditors as they conduct SOX audits and facilitate auditors’ interaction with process owners

  • Help oversee the SOX certification process and the reporting of results to Finance and Accounting leadership

  • Manage outsourced & offshore accounting service provider team supporting the SOX certification and reporting process

  • Own the SOX Entity-Level controls process

  • Continue to use and implement technology solutions (primarily AuditBoard) to streamline the SOX certification and reporting process

  • Benchmark and monitor all developments in financial internal control guidance externally

  • Take on initiatives to analyze current process and identify/implement improvement opportunities

  • Be able to lead team members, providing coaching and setting strategic direction.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR

Master’s degree and 2 years of Accounting/Audit experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Accounting/Audit experience

OR

Associate’s degree and 10 years of Accounting/Audit experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of corporate or public accounting experience

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

  • Audit or Big 4 Public Accounting experience

  • SOX 404 Compliance experience on Financial and IT SOX requirements

  • Good working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and ability to multi-task and establish priorities

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Experience with SAP and BW, Hyperion, EDW applications

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $89,395 -

$107,569.
