Amgen Senior Product Manager in Sydney, Australia
Reporting to the Director, General Medicine you will be the brand lead; focussing on developing and driving local marketing strategies and initiatives for launch and growth phase products. You will lead and drive cross functional collaboration for Access initiatives and foster strategic partnerships with KOL's, health care organisations, patient associations and medical associations You will provide direct leadership of the marketing team to ensure execution and achievement of the country's operating plan.
Develops local brand & launch strategies for portfolio that's aligned with Global brand & launch strategy and communicates it to relevant stakeholders.
Develops and executes with relevant marketing team, annual Affiliate Brand Plans complete with key strategic imperatives, tactics, and funding allocation.
Develops long range plans (LRP) incl. key performance driver assumptions.
Dedicated to achieving best-in-class product performance, from launch preparation and throughout product lifecycle.
Designs and executes promotional activities; detail aids, message scripts, advertising, congresses in line with Global branding and key message guidance.
Recommends annual national sales target and quarterly target updates and achieves agreement with key stakeholders.
Proposes business cases to capitalize on new opportunities.
Quickly identifies issues, leads Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and creates resulting plan of action.
Works with Business Analytics and Informatics (BA&I) on a monthly basis to understand key performance drivers; market, market share, price and performance insights.
Commissions and oversees market research in partnership with BA&I and develops resulting plan of action.
Leads portfolio marketing team, with people management responsibilities for direct reports per portfolio structure.
Leads cross-functional (Sales, Medical, Commercial, VAP) Brand Team Meetings and ensures a high-performing team dynamic.
Partners with National Sales Manager to drive salesforce motivation, align salesforce with brand plan of action, and ensure salesforce performance optimization.
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Relevant Academic education or experience from similar positions.
Minimum 6-7 years' experience in industry, preferably including experience as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative.
4 years' experience as a Product Manager, including launch experience; documented track record of success.
Experience within therapeutic area (Cardiovascular) preferred.
Financial and budgeting skills and experience.
Relevant Computer skills (PowerPoint and Excel - intermediate to advanced).
Experience within a large multinational pharmaceutical/healthcare company.
Experience managing and leading people and/or teams.
