What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will investigate myeloid biology and the tumor microenvironment, and discover and develop innovative therapies for cancer.
The candidate will independently lead a laboratory group as well as project teams to discover and validate new therapeutic targets. The candidate will also collaborate with other research scientists at multiple Amgen sites, including teams in other functional areas such as Therapeutic Discovery, Medical Sciences and Computational Biology.
Perform cutting-edge immunology research
Develop novel therapies by using various innovative technologies and approaches.
Publish experimental findings in top-tier journals and present novel findings at leading scientific conferences.
What we expect of you
We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The qualified professional we seek is a Scientist with these qualifications.
Master’s degree and 4 years of scientific experience
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of scientific experience
PhD or MD, with postdoctoral training and research experience in the fields of immunology, innate immunity, molecular biology and human genetics.
Demonstrated track record of independent critical thinking and scientific achievement in the area of immunology as demonstrated by high impact publications.
Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: Multi-color flow cytometry, omics data analysis, complex in vitro primary cell models, cell signaling/biochemistry, myeloid phenotyping, in vivo mouse models of disease
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate and troubleshoot to solve problems.
