What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will perform clinical biomarker assays employing a variety of platforms to support our drug development efforts.

  • This person will be an integral member of a dynamic group of scientists and platform experts

  • Collaborate with scientists representing multiple therapeutic areas and work closely with groups in other functional areas.

  • Employ multiparametric flow cytometry in our biomarker laboratory to develop and qualify biomarker assays to support various clinical programs

  • Other responsibilities include independent thinking, choosing the appropriate platform, planning and performing laboratory experiments, documenting experimental protocols and results, analyzing and interpreting data, presenting results to the stakeholders and working with internal and external partners.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree PhD OR PharmD OR MD and relevant post-doc where applicable OR

  • Master’s degree and 3 years of scientific/technical experience OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of scientific/technical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A strong background and experience in multiparametric flow cytometry assays including immunophenotyping, receptor occupancy and immune based functional assays is required for this position

  • Using flow cytometry techniques to generate orthogonal data and controls for other areas of interrogation

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects, strong verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of motivation, creativity and collaborative qualities

  • Previous experience working in a matrixed environment to implement cell-based biomarker assay development and validation employing innovative approaches to support clinical trials

  • Project management skills to meet critical timelines associated with various activities necessary to support biomarker assessment of clinical samples

  • Demonstrated track record of critical independent thinking and troubleshooting ability and innovative approaches to solve complex questions is highly desirable

  • Understanding of disease biology and biomarker approaches in multiple therapeutic area

  • Work and coordinate with internal stakeholders as well as external partners such as CROs and vendors to support outsourced activities

  • Familiarity with processes and factors needed to evaluate and qualify CROs

  • Experience collaborating with CROs to coordinate data and assay transfers, and real time monitoring of assay performance

  • Familiarity with data qc processes

  • Experience with complex data analysis software for flow cytometry such as FlowJo, FCS Express, OMIQ.AI, SPADE, viSNE and CITRUS

  • Experience in cell culture and cell isolation techniques

  • Experience with other biomarker assay platforms such as immunoassays (ELISA, Luminex, MSD, etc), immunohistochemistry, western blotting and genomics is a plus

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
