Amgen Sr Associate Business Analyst in Singapore, Singapore

We are currently looking for an experienced individual to join F&E, reporting to the Manager, Facilities & F&E Business Services. You will be responsible to drive a culture of quality, customer focus, data-driven decision making to quantify results and trends, ownership of operational metrics and continuous improvement. You will deliver financial improvement by identifying cost or waste reduction, defect reduction and cycle time improvement.

Business Analysis and Strategic Planning

  • Strategize, lead and implement business critical projects and to deliver enhancement to work efficiency

  • Lead the implementation of operational excellence and continuous improvement effort in F&E, measuring labor productivity and identify opportunities to increase productivity by establishing appropriate metrics and measuring systems

  • Lead Change Management efforts for major functional initiatives & F&E Flow certification

  • Develop business strategies and drive execution to optimize business processes. Support leadership in meeting business goals by identifying and prioritizing the right business opportunities

  • Develop and manage F&E risk mitigation and business continuity plan and disaster recovery modules, including risk management and business impact analysis

  • Maintain all F&E compliance and regulatory registry and document (JTC, lifts, NEA, PUB, SP Powergrid, etc)

Finance Management

  • Manage and track F&E financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement for YoY productivity

  • Define and maintain financial reporting related to budgets, account payables, account receivables & expenses

  • Develop long-term business plans based on financial reports and identify business opportunities

Contract Management

  • Partner with Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) on Request for Proposal (RFP) for all F&E contracts and develop comprehensive sourcing strategies including supplier selection and qualification and maintain F&E's contract registry

  • Ability to interface independently with internal team, external suppliers and provide sound advice and actionable recommendations to the management team to make the right decisions for business

  • Establish strong partnership with vendors & suppliers and excel in supplier negotiation using multiple approaches & data to achieve best value / deal

  • Conduct business reviews with internal team on a regular basis to improve operations, cost efficiencies, meeting and exceeding all KPI established in the service level agreement

  • Maximize the delivery of the contract services, identify cost saving opportunities and ensure adherence to safety and quality policies

  • Share best practices with internal team, other departments and network

  • Manage F&E share-point, vendors contact lists & distribution lists

Safety and Compliance Management

  • Lead and drive safety improvement program & culture within F&E

  • Lead Pre-Audit Inspection (PAI) readiness and pre-audit walkdown

  • Coordinate GEMBA and monthly EHSS self-inspection walkdown

  • Manage and track F&E's Quality Measurement Metrics and maintain visual boards

  • Ensure training readiness, completion and compliance of GMP trainings

  • Support and lead F&E business Data Integrity Assessment (DIA) on systems with other stakeholders

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or Business Management with 5+ years of related experience in business and process improvement in the biopharmaceutical industry

  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving and data analytical skills

  • Excellent customer service, good interpersonal and communication skills, integrity, respect, trust, commitment to innovation, and time management skills

  • Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment with aggressive timelines with minimum supervision

  • Self-starter with a high-level of comfort with ambiguity and complexity

  • Strong knowledge in statistics, project and contract management skills with ability to manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously

  • Working knowledge of SAP Ariba is a plus
