What you will do

Reporting to the Japan Asia Pacific (JAPAC) HR leader, the Senior HR Manager will support the South East Asia (SEA) Affiliate and the JAPAC Regional office. In this vital role, you will be a key member of the JAPAC HRBP leadership team, partnering with the SEA senior leadership team on a variety of workforce strategy topics, including organization design, change management, workforce planning, leadership development, employee engagement, & continuous listening efforts with staff. You will communicate, execute and deliver key HR programs, best practices and people solutions to our SEA affiliate countries. This role is ideally suited for a relationship-oriented, data-driven HR professional who is inspired by working with senior leadership to help further Amgen’s mission of serving patients while providing you with visibility and an opportunity to build a high-performing, diverse and innovative workforce. This position provides an excellent entry point to quickly learn Amgen and the HR function.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide overall HR partnership to business leaders to achieve key business objectives.

  • Provides overarching HR strategic advice, support and counsel to business

  • Drive a strong culture through application of organizational development interventions, coaching and business partnership with leadership

  • Identify key capabilities aligned with business goals, conducts gap analysis and develops and implements buy/build strategies in partnership with business leaders

  • Develop and execute on strategic workforce plans geared toward fueling business growth

  • Attracts, retain and integrate an educated, high quality, motivated and engaged workforce – anticipating growth through talent management.

  • Coaches leaders to use their management capabilities to own Amgen’s talent development for their department/functions

What we expect of you

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree. Master or MBA degree a plus

  • 10+ years of progressively complex/strategic HR experience, including organization effectiveness, staff relations, compensation, staff development and recruitment in Pharmaceutical Industry

  • 5+ people leader experiences with a strong drive to create a positive work environment in Pharmaceutical Industry

  • Strong leadership skills; operates as a strategic leader with understanding and appreciation for business differences

  • Demonstrated ability to understand business needs and develop strategic and practical solutions to tangible business challenges, sound knowledge of business practices related to the field of Human Resources

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and orientated on results

  • Relationship management, coaching and collaboration skills

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills

  • Ability to interact with and influence all levels of management, and executives

  • Fluent in English (both oral and written)
