The Project Manager will report to the Senior Manager Project Management with dotted line reporting to Executive Director F&E. The position will be a member of the International Engineering EU/Asia Region supporting Capital Projects management at ASM. The Project Manager will be accountable for delivery of project scope, schedule, budget and safety for assigned projects. Builds project team and manages team and governance meetings. Identifies and frames project issues. Ensures that Engineering Project Delivery (EPD) processes are followed. Drives accountability for assigned team action items, deliverables and issues. Prepares ILM funding requests with support from Project Controls Lead. Accountable for project governance and status reporting.
Ensures that AMGEN Engineering Project Delivery (EPD) Processes are followed throughout project lifecycle.
Leads the preparation of Investment Lifecycle Management (ILM) funding requests with support from Project Controls Lead.
Overall accountability for delivery of project scope and schedule for assigned projects.
Arranges regular project governance meeting for assigned projects.
Ensures compliance with contractor safety programs.
Co-ordinates project team resource allocation.
Provides project status reporting.
In conjunction with the Engineering Technical Lead (ETL), ensures design reviews are completed at the appropriate stage in the project.
Basic Qualifications & Experience:
Mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering bachelor’s degree or similar relevant qualification.
At least 8 years post graduate experience with a minimum of 5 years in an engineering or project management role.
Demonstrable experience in GMP Drug Substance projects for biologics and API.
Construction Project Safety, Cost and Schedule Management.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Knowledge of aseptic filling, packaging, and processing equipment as well as clean and black utilities will be advantageous.
Experience of LEAN construction principles.
Construction project management.
Project Cost and Schedule Management
Commissioning, qualification and validation of process and utility systems in a GMP environment.
Management of Contractor Safety.
Demonstrated team leadership skills and experience.
Strong communication skills.
