Amgen Associate/Engineer (Instrument & Analytical Equipment) in Singapore, Singapore
The Engineer is responsible as the subject matter expert (SME) for analytical equipment and instrumentation including equipment applications, troubleshooting and maintenance. He/ She must be able to perform assigned task competently with minimal supervision and effectively communicate with the customer. This role operates in conjunction with the manufacturing team to ensure an appropriate and timely completion of cGMP maintenance activities, with minimum disruption to manufacturing.
Performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting for analytical equipment. Supports the maintenance team on instrument applications and troubleshooting.
Provides technical advice for the application of related instruments and analytical equipment based on sound scientific knowledge and industry best practices.
Periodically reviews maintenance SOPs and contracts. Evaluates current maintenance cycles and make appropriate updates to optimize the maintenance program.
Conducts training to the maintenance team to drive the implementation of multi-craft maintenance structure.
Effectively communicates to peers and customers from various function in a clear and concise manner.
Identifies opportunities to implement innovative or improvement projects to reduce waste, increase efficiency and reduce equipment downtime by leveraging on technological advancement in instrumentation and analytical equipment.
Provides technical advice to support CAPEX and OPEX activities.
Provides field support to identify, troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues. Support may be required outside of normal working hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
University graduate with minimum 3 years working experience or technical diploma with a minimum of 5 years related working experience. Fresh graduates which demonstrates exemplary traits in attitude and self-motivation will be considered.
Candidate should possess academic qualification in any of the following disciplines: electrical, electronic, mechatronics, chemical or biological engineering.
Related working experience with laboratory analytical equipment or process instrumentation is an advantage.
A self-motivated and resourceful person that can work competently with minimal guidance to overcome challenges in a dynamic environment.
Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively at various levels and provide solutions that are pragmatic, technical sound, science-based and business-beneficial.
Experience in a cGMP manufacturing or laboratory working environment is an advantage.
