Associate Scientist, Oncology
CBSS of Amgen Shanghai
The Comparative Biology and Safety Sciences (CBSS) group is seeking a Scientist to independently perform immuno-oncology related safety assessment and mechanistic studies. The Scientist will work in CBSS organization based in Shanghai, and will collaborate closely with research scientists within the group and with multi-functional teams.
The successful candidate is expected to make scientific laboratory-based contributions to the research goals of the department, present their results in both internal and external forums, and participate in the writing of manuscripts for publication. Specific responsibilities include designing experiments, drafting protocols, executing studies, analyzing and organizing results, as well as presenting study reports.
PhD degree in immunology, oncology or related field, Or Master's degree & 3 years of scientific experience.
A strong background in immunology or oncology, especially the T cell functions in tumor.
A strong skillset in multi-color flow cytometry and immuno-phenotyping, isolation and culture of primary immune cells.
Hands on experience with animal studies referring to T cell, macrophage or dendritic cell functions. Experience in functional assays to test T cell function in vitro and in vivo.
Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques (PCR, Western blotting, virus transfection, etc.) is preferred.
Good management of using English as working language.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
