HEOR (Health Economics and Outcomes Research) Coordinator
Supports clinical and market development, develops HEOR/value dossiers, plans and conducts OR advisory panels.
Design and management of local pharmacoeconomic analyses and outcomes research.
Mathematical modelling, piggyback pharmacoeconomic trials and cost-of-illness studies.
Delivery of robust, customized pharmacoeconomic value messages to payers to inform optimal health decision-making. Lead and conduct the development of economic models, abstracts, payer dossiers and manuscripts to support the value proposition
Development of specific health technology assessment dossiers targeting Federal, State and Municipal product reimbursement.
Creation of pharmacoeconomic tools/ simulators for market access action plans.
Extensive interaction with Access Strategy and relevant Brand Marketing teams, assists in building comprehensive value arguments to improve market access and improving patient outcomes.
Interface with Heath Technology Assessment (HTA) Agencies (as CONITEC) and policy boards.
Conduct the development of technical material for the access team
Provide strategic insight and critical evidence to support submissions to HTA or reimbursement agencies to ensure that the products will be reimbursed, listed in formularies.
Effectively communicate health economic and outcomes research findings, including competitors’ publications, internally and externally.
Overall, assist with the design, execution, analysis, recommendation development, and reporting of modeling projects and strategic health economic value-generation projects
Design and conduct health economic studies including development of economic value messages and constructing/interpreting health economic analyses/ models
Act sometimes as primary programmer of budget impact, cost minimization, and cost-effectiveness models using Excel/VBA
Summarize, synthesize, and interpret economic data including disease-specific and pharmaceutical product research
Provides Brazilian strategic insights and inputs to shape Global HEOR strategies and development
Responsible for all aspects of effective project management, including RFP development, selection of research partners, contract execution, budget planning, protocol design, analytic plan development, oversight of data collection/acquisition, data analysis, and development of research findings into publications in alignment with Medical Affairs and commercial strategies.
Education & Experience
Strong interest in and knowledge of health economics, research methods, epidemiology, modeling and healthcare/pharmaceutical industry
Bachelor’s degree in health economics, economics, business, pharmacy or related field; or Masters’ degree in appropriate field (epidemiology, outcomes research, public health, business/health services research, biostatistics) an advanced degree as plus.
At least 5-6 years of professional experience, in health economics, outcomes research, reimbursement, and/or portfolio analysis
Demonstrated problem solving, analytical reasoning, and decision-making skills
Strong multi-tasking and organizational abilities
Sense of urgency necessary to meet goals, objectives, and deadlines
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
Demonstrated management, leadership abilities, accountability, and initiative
Expert in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Decision-analytic modeling experience, fluent in Excel VBA, TreeAge and/or other modeling language
Advanced knowledge and experience in conducting health economics, health related quality of life, and/or health services research studies and the evaluation of health care interventions
Demonstrated track record of peer-reviewed scientific publications, dossier development, and strategic, customer-focused HEOR tool development
In-depth knowledge of health care systems
Proven record of outstanding written and verbal communication and negotiation skills, with experience interacting with and presenting to key customers
Language: English is mandatory
