Amgen Undergraduate Intern - OPS - (F&E Utilities) in Rhode Island, Rhode Island
Amgen’s 10 – 12 week internship program offers meaningful project experiences that impact patient’s lives. This internship provides the opportunity for executive and social networking events and to participate in community volunteer projects while providing a competitive compensation. Relocation housing and/or miscellaneous allowance may be available for eligible candidates
The intern will be required to participate in intern specific activities in a group setting in addition to job specific activities. Job specific activities shall include quality, safety and conduct based training that is crucial to operations in a cGMP facility. Additional and more specialized training will be assigned as appropriate or needed. Shadowing of daily readings and rounds, general assistance with maintenance activities, and system(s) and control room overview will be the focus. A project that will encompass system knowledge and or significant innovation will be required at the end of the term.
Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergraduate internship or an undergraduate co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
18 years or older
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
Enrolled in a full time Bachelor’s program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
Degree concentration(s) in Marine/ Facilities Engineer or related discipline
Sophomore standing with graduation in either December of 2020 or summer of 2021
Strong leadership and organization skills
Ability to effectively improve business operations, drive efficiencies, and directly contribute to company goals
