Amgen Associate, Finance (1-Year Contract) in Mississauga, Ontario

Position: Associate Finance

Reports to: Finance Sr Manager

Location: Head Office, Mississauga

We currently have a 1-year contract opportunity for an Associate, Finance in the Finance and Sales and Marketing Effectiveness department.

Qualified internal candidates are required to have a discussion with current manager regarding intent to apply.

The Associate Finance will provide support to key financial processes such as month/quarter/year-end close, expenses/ revenue planning processes and other Finance deliverables

Key Accountabilities:

  • Month/Quarter/Year end close support, provide analysis and prepares journal entries

  • Expense management and Finance support to selected functions

  • Data entries to planning system and support other Finance deliverables

  • Support procure-to-pay trouble shooting and escalation process in MyBuy (procure-to-pay system)

  • Support ad hoc projects

Basic Qualifications

BS/MS degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting areas

  • 2+ years of Accounting/Financial Planning experience, pharmaceutical experience an asset

  • Advanced excel skills

  • Able to work effectively under a fast paced and changing environment

  • Able to manage multiple deliverables and projects concurrently

  • Strong communication skills and able to collaborate cross-functionally in an organization

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Knowledge of SAP an asset
