Global Marketing Senior Manager Device Strategy (US Remote)

What you will do

The Global Customer Capabilities organization strives to bring new ways of working to better support our patients and customers. The Device Strategy team’s purpose is to empower patients with a simple, seamless injection experience. This position will achieve this purpose through development and enhancement of patient-focused educational materials for Amgen’s drug delivery devices. The Senior Manager will lead the development of educational materials and the implementation across various brand and cross-functional teams. The key aspects of the role will involve delivering compelling messages to the right consumers in the right medium across key moments that matter. The successful candidate will lead several initiatives to help enhance the injection experience that will positively impact patients, their healthcare teams, and Amgen brands. The Senior Manager of Device Strategy will also integrate seamlessly with local markets, to drive adoption of educational materials globally.

  • Lead communications strategy – work with market research and agency partners to uncover deep insights and translate them to consumer-compelling creative and messaging that is well integrated across channels.

  • Lead change management sprints across prioritized local markets to enable adoption of processes and materials.

  • Handle day-to-day oversight of creative agencies.

  • Collaborate with key partners including Global/Regional/Local Marketing teams, Access and Patient Support Providers, Commercial Data and Analytics, and Operations cross-functional teams

  • Drive decision making via clear communication across appropriate governance bodies, incorporating feedback from cross-functional partners

  • Manage the internal legal, regulatory, and medical review and approval of new materials to enable responsible and compliant communications.

  • Handle budgets and closely monitor performance, ensuring cost-effective delivery of all programs.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Master’s degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Associate’s Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong marketing acumen with a key grasp of marketing strategy, market research, and tactical plan development.

  • Experience with drug delivery devices such as: pre-filled syringes, auto-injector pens, lyophilized reconstitution kits, and/or infusion pumps

  • Translating market research insights into effective campaigns or programs.

  • Exhibiting passion and empathy to build meaningful experiences for consumers by understanding their needs and desires.

  • Experience working with advertising agencies to develop and produce engaging creative.

  • Strong bias for action and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to exercise strong judgment and live up to the highest ethical standards.

  • Excellent communication skills and self-awareness of leadership style

  • Ability to build productive partnerships and collaborate effectively in a matrix organization.

  • Experience marketing directly to consumers, with a preference for pharmaceutical or regulated consumer goods or services.
