Job title: Regional Medical Liaison Oncology

The Role:

The successful Regional Medical Liaison (RML) field-based positions providing national coverage for London and South UK.

These role will primarily involve work relating to Amgen's Oncology portfolio covering multiple brands.

As such, these roles demand experienced professionals with a proven ability to effectively communicate complex scientific matters with stakeholders at all levels. The successful candidates must be self-motivated and proactive as well as being a dedicated team-player.

The RML will interact with key opinion leaders and healthcare organisations as well as engaging in scientific exchange with key medical and other decision makers to communicate and advance Amgen's scientific platform, as aligned with Amgen's corporate goals, objectives and affiliate medical plans and provide feedback based on those field interactions.

The RML will foster relationships with key healthcare professionals including key consultants registrars pharmacists and nurses. The RML is an integral position in assuring accuracy in communication of our science and products across the medical community.

The RML will represent Amgen medical department in the field in compliance with local and Amgen regulatory standards.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree educated

  • Extensive experience as a field based RML or relevant field-based role in Medical Affairs in the pharma/biotech industry.

  • Proven experience with oncology medicines

  • Experience of working closely with sales and access teams

  • Good knowledge of clinical research, legal and compliance environment

  • Knowledge and experience of the ABPI code, regulatory affairs and drug safety

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (e.g. BSc, MSc, PhD, Medical, Pharmacy, Nursing) preferred or strong demonstration of equivalent combination of relevant educational and professional training.

  • Established relationships with oncology thought leaders

  • Experience with oncology

  • Understanding of concepts and application of health economics
