What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will drive innovation in a highly integrated tax provision landscape. The Sr Associate Business Analyst will be an integral member of an agile-focused operations team that will support and continuously improve groundbreaking solutions for Amgen’s global Tax professionals.

  • Co-innovate with Amgen Digital Technology and Innovation professionals by developing, planning, and managing the long-term roadmap

  • Assist your leader in defining architecture standards and building enhancements, with life cycle updates in custom-developed SQL-based technology and SaaS solutions

  • Provide technical support and monitoring to enable the achievement of service level agreements for effective operation of systems

  • Manage access to corporate applications

  • Partner with system vendors and external partners to provide day-to-day support over the operation of key applications

  • Act as a point of contact in problem investigation and participate in reviewing business impacts, root causes, and implementation of recommended actions

  • Maintain all design specifications and test protocols

  • Work independently, function as a knowledge resource under direction of more experienced European and US-based team members while providing oversight using best practices and change management discipline to improve systems and services

  • Assist in issue escalation management

  • Conduct periodic review of system access and security reviews

  • Respond to inspections or audits

  • Monitor global regulatory technology landscape

Basic Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree

OR

  • Master’s degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Information Systems experience

OR

  • Associate’s degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience

OR

  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a team environment, optimally interacting with others and mentoring junior team members in geographically disbursed model

  • Skills with Transact-SQL development

  • Experience with SQL Server Always-On environments

  • Experience with Visual Basic for Applications and integration with Excel

  • Good at logic and solving problems

  • Ability to explain complicated technical concepts simply

  • Strong service management mindset in delivering production support

  • High attention to detail and self-directed

  • Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with other geographically disbursed team members

  • Experience with Alteryx, Tableau and ETL technologies (i.e. Informatica) a plus

  • Experience working on upstream and downstream integrations with applications such as Hyperion.

  • Exposure to tax technologies such as One Source Tax Provision solutions

  • Fluent in English
