Senior Associate IS Architect - Source to Pay

Job Description

Amgen is seeking a Senior Associate IS Architect with creativity and passion to drive innovation and change in the Source to Pay (S2P) space. The Senior Associate will drive an ambitious Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) program to evolve how Amgen handles contracts globally with our suppliers. This role will be part of a new Agile Product Team being formed to deploy groundbreaking solutions across Amgen globally. Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive CLM program as part of Accelerating Digital Innovation to evolve how Amgen handles contracts globally with our suppliers

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Sourcing, Procure to Pay, Accounting, Tax, and Corporate services partners by providing insights that drive increased automation

  • Collaborate with business partners to understand and document business requirements, develop and configure solution/data integration flows, security or compliance requirements

  • Experience in S2P processes related to solutions such as SAP Ariba, ECC and/or S/4HANA, Concur, Sirion, etc.

  • Understand solution architecture and co-innovate with peer architects from other workstreams to advance the capabilities of S2P eco-system

  • Maintain the Global S2P template and ensures its continued governance and evolution

  • Facilitate system build, testing, and deployment according to approved solution architecture, best practices and works independently

  • Work with Specialist IS Architect to triage issues reported in CLM system Prepares and maintains solid documentation throughout the project

  • Experience in Agile methodology and DevOps

  • Ability to communicate ideas verbally and written in English

Basic Qualifications

Master’s Degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience working in Source to Pay Systems

OR

Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of Information Systems experience working in Source to Pay Systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in architecting, configuring, and/or integrating S2P solutions such as SAP Ariba, ECC or S/4HANA, Concur, Field Glass, DocuSign, etc. for global deployments

  • Manage translation of business processes or user stories into technical design and/or architecture flows

  • Experience in deploying a CLM solution globally and/or integrating to SAP and/or Non-SAP systems

  • Experience in CLM solutions such as Ariba, Sirion labs, etc and Thomson Reuters Tax OneSource is preferred

  • Understanding of reporting Enterprise Data Fabric (EDF), Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Data lake, and frontend tools (i.e. BOBJ, Cognos, Tableau) would be a plus

  • Experience working with software systems validation, SOX, Information Privacy, FDA cGxP controlled environment and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to take principled bets on new technology, ability to establish, implement, and make sure appropriate IS standards to meet business requirements

  • Experience in Agile and Devops model applying concepts like User Stories, Personas, Epics, features, Sprint etc.

  • Desire to work with a truly dynamic and exciting team, with a “roll-up your sleeves” approach

  • Foster a culture of innovation to encourage resources to evaluate and introduce new technologies that will allow business to meet their objectives
