Global Digital Customer Capabilities Senior Manager


What you will do

In this vital role you will be a global Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Marketing Automation and CRM platforms both at technical and at business strategic level. Working as part of the Global Customer Digital Capabilities team you will define how digital can support and accelerate the commercial strategy as well as designing and build the global capabilities covering all relevant aspects (roadmap, design principles, integration, operating model etc..)

Key responsibilities:

  • Improve functionality, harmonize and standardize key customer engagement platforms across regions and cross-functionally (e.g., Veeva, Sales Force Marketing Cloud) and ensure seamless integration with our evolving virtual engagement channels

  • Build and scale digital tools to support the in-market execution

  • Successfully develop approach to scale across brands and regions

  • Be an advocate for use of internally available innovation in commercial and medical activity, making the business case and demonstrating how new and existing digital capabilities could positively impact existing business processes.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and provide them with required commercial and medical inputs, encouraging a symbiotic and aligned relationship.

  • Maintain visibility into the digital capabilities' landscape to inform strategy development and to identify key trends and opportunities to shape how Amgen invests its resources

  • Works cross-functionally to build a digital capability to engage with our key customers more effectively in a remote / virtual environment.

Be part of our team

You would be joining a team working with other global capabilities teams with focus on shaping digital tools to meet the needs of customer facing teams and build approaches to efficiently scale solutions globally. The team will work with both the internal teams as well as understanding external marketplace to recommend how digital capabilities can accelerate our growth and be implemented across the full brand planning framework as well as patient journey and build core capabilities for developing our omnichannel engagement strategy.


What we expect of you

The Senior Manager position requires a leader with diverse experience, broad capabilities, outstanding cross-functional collaboration skills, commercial acumen, the ability to operate globally and locally, and very strong influencing skills.

Required qualifications

  • Master’s degree in engineering/Computer Science or similar

  • Strong technical background and direct hands on experience with data modeling, software development, common web technologies

  • Proven expertise in strategic design and operational execution of customer engagement platforms; in particular on Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce CRM

  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking and execution excellence skills honed by experience at regional or global level (ex-US plus US experience preferred)

  • Possesses an understanding of broad, global market dynamics and the cultural awareness and sensitivity to form relationships and work effectively with colleagues around the world

  • Experience and strong acumen in commercialization processes, including the use and application of current tools and frameworks

  • Experience managing external partners

  • Ability to confidently prioritize, direct, and manage multiple, complex, and interdependent capabilities and projects

  • Self-Starter and must possess leadership capabilities with little direct supervision

  • Exceptional project and time management skills

  • Very strong cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Knowledge of internal organizational process and procedures

  • Excellent written, verbal and communication and presentation skills

  • Impeccable ethics and integrity and comfort operating in a highly regulated
