Amgen Finance Senior Manager – ELMAC FP&A & Hub Function in Lisbon, Portugal

Finance Senior Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for ELMAC Region & Hub Functions

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will support the FP&A consolidation and reporting for Europe, LATAM, Middle East, Africa & Canada (ELMAC) and the Hub , reporting to the Finance Director of ELMAC Finance. This position is highly engaged across the Amgen ELMAC management team, including directly supporting and interacting with functional leaders for the region and Global.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supports the consolidation of Sales, OPEX, HC for budget, forecasts, variance analyses and strategic scenarios around resources and profitability.

  • Serve as the business partner for the existing ELMAC hub functions (Medical, Regulatory, G&A, E&A, Central, etc.) and select Global functions

  • Coordinates and drives the FP&A for ELMAC Partnerships (e.g., UCB, etc.)

  • Oversees monitoring of actual and forecasted cost and revenues (on a quarterly and annual basis) across multiple continents

  • Key ex-US business and finance partner driving GCO process improvements and digital capabilities across finance and accounting

  • Leads short and long-term planning, support activities and special projects across region to deliver on ELMAC performance and objectives.

  • Ensures company data is collected, derived and consolidated across ELMAC in order to produce reliable forecasting and scenario planning

  • Partners with Accounting, Tax & Procurement to ensure and drive processes & procedures implementation across ex-US

  • Provides analytics and decision support to various stakeholders (BU’s, project teams, functions) across organization (GCO, R&D, Corp, etc.) to enable long term objectives

  • Ensures budget data in Hyperion and cross functional systems (Tableau, DGN, Anaplan, etc.) is consistent are consistent with SAP entries

  • Supports in local and cross continental (ELMAC) Business Development projects

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

Basic Qualifications:

  • University degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration

  • 10+ years aggregate experience in different managerial functions within Finance

  • Proficient in Financial Planning and Analysis state-of-the-art know-how

  • Excellent general business knowledge (e.g., industry, finance, applicable laws, tax, insurances)

  • Working knowledge of key IS systems (including demonstrated capability of Hyperion SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Fluency in English, both in oral and written communication

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA from leading school

  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry

  • Experience with US GAAP

  • Experience in leading a Finance & Administration function in a matrix and international environment
